§ 9-29. Temporary permit.

  • The chief of police shall be authorized to issue a temporary permit for each taxicab operated by a franchise holder under this article pending compliance with section 9-34. Such temporary permit shall be good for not more than two (2) weeks from the date of its issuance. If the permanent permit for the same is not obtained before expiration of the temporary permit, the taxicab shall be taken out of service by the franchise holder unless, for good cause, the chief of police issues an additional temporary permit pending compliance with the requirements of section 9-34.
