§ 9-28. Annual permit.

Each franchise holder under this article shall obtain from the chief of police a permit on each taxicab operated by such franchise holder. The permit shall be issued upon such vehicle passing safety tests as required under the state law before issuance of a state inspection sticker. No permit issued under this section shall be transferable. The permit shall be effective for a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance.
