§ 2-44. Settlement of account upon expiration of office.

Each officer who receives or disburses, by virtue of his office, any money belonging to the city, from whatever source the same may be received or for whatever purpose disbursed, shall make a full, accurate and final settlement with the city council at the expiration of his term of office.
