§ 2-10. Industrial development authority.

  • There is hereby created an industrial development authority in the city. Such authority shall be authorized to stimulate the development of industrial employment opportunities for the citizens of the city, and shall be known as the "Gainesville Industrial Development Authority." The industrial development authority shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of five (5) members who shall be appointed by the mayor, with the concurrence of the city council, for a term of two (2) years.
