§ 6-4. Location and area.

  • (a)

    All the portion of land being a part of the land donated to the city by the county on March 26, 1878, and all lands purchased by the city for burial purposes shall constitute and be known as the Fairview Cemetery.

    (b)

    The Fairview Cemetery shall be divided into areas as follows:

    (1)

    Area I, being that portion of the Fairview Cemetery that was constructed prior to 2001 and which is shown as such in the cemetery plat kept in the office of the city sexton and the city secretary, consisting of twenty-six (26) divisions, and located north of Area II.

    (2)

    Area II, being mean that portion of the Fairview Cemetery opened in 2002 and shown as such in the cemetery plat kept in the office of the city sexton and the city secretary, consisting of four (4) tiers, and located along the southwest half of the south boundary of Area I.

    (3)

    Any additional areas that may hereafter be designated by the city council prior to being opened for use and sale of spaces or lots.
