§ 2-85. Possessions of arrested persons.

  • Whenever any arrest is made and the person arrested has on or about his person any deadly weapon, money or other property, it shall be the duty of the officers making the arrest to take charge of the same and report and turn the same over to the chief of police who shall hold the same subject to the order of the court trying the party.
