§ 12-9. Service of process.

  • (a)

    All process issuing out of the municipal court may be served and shall be served when directed by the court by a police officer of the city, under the same rules as are provided by law for the service by sheriffs and constables of process issuing out of the justice court, so far as applicable.

    (b)

    The police officer may serve all process issuing out of the municipal court anywhere in the county.

    (c)

    A defendant is entitled to at least one (1) day's notice of any complaint against him, if such time is demanded.
