§ 12-14. Collection of fines.

  • (a)

    When a judgment and sentence have been rendered against a defendant for a fine and costs and he defaults in payment, the recorder may order him imprisoned in jail until discharged by law. A certified copy of the judgment, sentence and order is sufficient to authorize such imprisonment.

    (b)

    The recorder may order the fine and costs collected by execution against the defendant's property in the same manner as a judgment in a civil suit.
